Cosmetic dentistry is a way of replacing or restoring teeth to improve your smile from an aesthetic point of view. At Arlington Dental, we offer a variety of cosmetic restorations tailored to your specific needs and goals. We create our restorations in-house, and many can be completed in one visit.
Our Services
Improving the appearance of your smile may mean simply brightening the color of your teeth, or it may involve covering some or all of your existing teeth. Our aesthetic services include the following:
- Porcelain veneers: Thin porcelain covers that are cemented to the front of the teeth to change their size, shape and appearance.
- CEREC Crown in a Day: Porcelain restorations that cover the entire surface of the tooth to create a more pleasing appearance.
- Replacing amalgam fillings: Amalgam is what we call the old silver fillings. They can hide tooth decay and cause cracks in teeth. They’re also not very attractive. We use tooth-colored composite materials to replace the old fillings.
- Zoom and LumiBrite teeth whitening: We use prescription-strength whitening gels and a special lamp to achieve the bright smile you’ve always wanted.
- Cosmetic bonding: Tooth-colored resin material is bonded to the front of a tooth to improve the appearance.
What to Expect
We’ll start with an examination to determine if there is any decay or other issues that need to be addressed. Then Dr. Reed will talk with you about your goals for your smile, including your budget. Some options, such as whitening, are more affordable than more complex services like creating multiple veneers.
Whatever you decide, Dr. Reed will explain the procedure and everything you should expect. We can complete many of our cosmetic services in one visit. In most cases, insurance does not cover cosmetic dentistry. We offer in-house financing and other options.
